Growing in Unity~Day 5
GIU~Day 5
Halloween is my absolute favorite time of year- so I couldn’t resist making a Halloween Card.
I used stamps from Be Spooky.Be Spooky
My derby name is Raven Lunatic so I was excited to have found paper from American Crafts with ravens on it.
My other paper is Martha Stewart (I did mention that I “collect” supplies- didn’t I?). 😝
Thanks for an AMAZING week!!!
I am so happy to have been chosen to be a GIU girl this week.
I have done more creating this week than I have since my husbands death.
It’s been a very therapeutic week and has brought joy back to stamping.
Have an AMAZING weekend.
Please remember to honor those who have lost their lives protecting our freedom.

Growing In Unity~Day 4
GIU~ Day 4
I used stamps from In a Pickle
I thought that I would try out new )to me) markers for the background. I used AC Chromatix in grass.
I DO NOT like these markers at all. They DO NOT blend nicely for me.
I used 4 different white cardstocks and chose the best of the bunch (I'm not happy with this one either.)
My pickles were colored with Bic Markers (my Copics are hiding somewhere.)
Happy Thursday!!
Thanks for Stopping by.

Growing in Unity~Day 3
GIU Day 3
Today’s card features stamps from Just Stinkin’ Cute.
The picture does not do the card justice~especially to the dark poop emoji.
It was stamped on a brown velvet paper and the heart was colored with a glitter marker.
Thanks for stopping by.
Have a fabulous day!!

Growing in Unity ~Day Two
Thanks for stopping by for Day 2 of my GIU week.
I used Unity stamps from All About the Journey.
I stamped the plane on grid patterned paper and colored it with Copic markers.
The papers and brads are from my “collected” stash of supplies.
After having been widowed- it was an eye-opener that tomorrow is not a given, but a gift.
Little things like sunrise and sunsets became more important. So does visiting new places, doing new things, and meeting new people.
Thanks for stopping by
And I hope you find some adventure today.

Growing in Unity~ Day One
Growing in Unity~ Day One
For this card, I wanted to make a card that would “speak” to the Roller Derby community.
I used stamps from the Jack (ass) set.
I paper- pieced fishnet stockings and added “derby” make-up to my image.
I am entering this card into 2 Crafty Critter Crazies Challenge #26
I am Silvia Hutchinson (AKA Raven Lunatic when I am with my Roller Derby Team.
Ever since childhood, I have had a creative soul. I was introduced to stamping at a local stamp shop many years ago and have grown quite a collection of stamps and supplies. I don't have a particular "style". My creations are quirky and "all over the place".
I lost my biggest cheerleader 5 years ago when I became widowed. Within a year of that loss, both of my sons graduated college and moved out of state. I had to rediscover who I was, which resulted in joining a Roller Derby team and acquiring my motorcycle license. I also recently remarried.
I have learned the hard way that each day is a gift and should be lived to it's fullest
I am SUPER THRILLED to have been chosen to be a GIU girl.
Thanks for stopping by 😁

Bridal expo dissappointment
I attended the Complete Wedding Expo at Bobak's Signature Events on Sunday, November 11,2018
The show was stated to run from 11:30am to 3:00pm with a fashion show at 2:00pm.
My fiance' and I went to the show about 1:45 because we thought that the vendors would be less crowded during the fashion show.
We were HUGELY disappointed because some vendors had already started breaking their booths down and many others were unmanned.
We left at 2:15. Yes~ 30 minutes and a bridal expo and we really only spoke to a photobooth vendor.
There were plenty of realtors and a home improvement booth. I really didn't feel that they fit in at the expo.
We did not encounter florists, bakeries, or wedding planners.

Wedding Dress
I found my dress :)
It is a Justin Alexander chiffon fit and flare gown with crystal and pearl beaded Sabrina keyhole neckline on a asymmetric ruched bodice. The natural waist is accented by an attached crystal and pearl beaded belt. The back is finished with a keyhole back, chiffon covered buttons over the back zipper and a chapel length train.

Blog Ressurection
I have neglected this blog FOREVER.
It's been really hard to keep up on life since my husbands death, March 29, 2014.
I have since joined a Roller Derby team and met a wonderful man and am planning a wedding.
My posts will be a mishmash of topics. My mind kinda bounces around like Tigger.
I hope you will come along for the ride.

For my project today, I decided to use one of Tim Holtz's tag techniques. I chose the Statue of Liberty because both of my parents came to the US from Europe and the Statue of Liberty was the 1st sign that they had arrived.

C.A.S.E. Blog Hop
Remember the old kids game, Telephone? You know the one where a secret
is told to the first person in line and then they tell what they think
they heard to the next person and they tell the next person and so on
and so on. At the end of the line, the person says what they heard and
the first person tells what they originally said and laughter erupts
because the two things are nothing alike.
Well today's hop plays that game, but with card making instead of secrets.
This hop is un-like any you've probably ever been too.
We took one card created by Theresa from ScrapsByGracie and sent it
to the next blogger who then C.A.S.E.d the card (copy and steal
everything) and sent her card on to the next blogger who C.A.S.E.d it
and sent her card to the next blogger. You get the idea.
When you are done hopping you'll see how different or maybe how similar the last card is to the first.
If you are just coming across my blog and and you'd like to start from the beginning to see the progression, please visit Scraps by Gracie, where the blog kicks off. - See more at: http://pawstoscrap.blogspot.com/#sthash.Wo2hfFiS.dpuf
